NOODP Meta Tag

safe to use?

Can anybody tell me if it's wise to use the noodp meta and if they have had any bad experience with it re: Google.

It's actually Yahoo I'm having trouble with but I don't want to cuase any probs in Google using it.

Also, what's the correct syntax?

I've never had any bad experience with it, and as a matter of fact, had sites that jumped way up when the proper page title was being used rather than the outdated ODP data.

Same thing for the Yahoo directory.

Here's the way you add them:

<meta name="robots" content="NOODP,NOYDIR">
