Hi all
I run approx 20 sites to which use a affiliate company. All links/content is placed inside my db and is served to all sites.
Issue....
I ranked in 3rd place for a known affiliate on G. At random times during the day it will show either 1 of my sites or the other. the content is dynamically served yet the content is different, is G reading the out affiliate link as noticing they are the same?

That's an odd one. Are those two sites on the same IP address?

This used to happen to us, two sites from the same company with completely different content and designs between the two. For our most valued keyphrase we were in about 17th spot but sometimes it was site A and sometimes site B.

In a quest for better ranking I blocked site B from googlebot and sent in a URL removal request. Site A crawled up into the top ten for our main keyphrase shortly after blocking out site B.

I would say the joining of our two sites into one by google would pretty much have had to have been the result of a review by an editor because the content between the two sites was radically different.

Is there an affiliate ID in affiliate links on pages that's identifiable?

the out click on my site goes to a click track url on my site and then goes to the site, and yes the affiliate id is the same.
