Index pages disappear from 2 sites at the same time

ok. I have a number of sites in the same niche. Two of my sites, which were both about a year old, suddenly disappeared from Google together. Both sites were around page 2 of Google for their major keywords.

The sites are still indexed, but the index page seems to have disappeared for both sites. These sites both have unique content, good links, and are completely white hat. I just think it is strange that the index page would disappear for both sites around the same time. They are on different hosts, IPs, and are not linked together. I have some similar sites with unique content that have not been effected. What are your thoughts?

Just coincidence I think. I have had main page of a blog disappear from time to time but it comes back after another crawl. If you are white hat, relax. It will be OK.
