It looks like someone one is trying to put a dent in googles market share, but the funny thing is, they are using google's search results when searching for items on the web.
Looks like they are using Grub to index the Internet through users browsing behaviors, but at what point are they going to switch from googles search results to the results gathered from Grub?
It is an interesting project. Barriers to denting Google? Marketing most of all (this article is but a very modest start), and then the algo itself. I see that people will be able to create their own algo when they apply the technology themselves, but that's still a huge endeavor.
And how long to do you think it will take before we start seeing link spam in there, and will they follow Wikipedias course of NOFOLLOW?
