All pictures on my site are "adult filtered" by Google images search. As all the content for that site is connected with food and rhe pictures are all about food and recipes, I wonder which could be the reason those images are filtered? Is anyone else confonted with this issue?

You will need to contact G direct. I had to do that, I never had any explanation but they fixed it quite quickly.

From the time it happened to me it looked as if one of the tests was to search for character strings that formed naughty words. So if you have references to places like Essex or S#*$!horpe you could have problems.

I know that some photo hosting services look for things like large areas of flesh tones. No idea if G does that but food pics could fall into the trap.

See, even webmasterworld objects to an industrial town in eastern England.

I also have this problem. There is zero nudity or adult content on my site but out of thousands of images, only 3 make it past the safesearch filters.

However, as I have not violated any guidelines, I cannot submit a re inclusion request... what should I do?

@piatkow:

We have this issue as well.

When you say "contact google directly" who should I contact?

Thanks in advance.

I do have the same problem, they changed the filter about a month ago, I see SO many site totaly filtered out and it dossent matter what content; why dont they just place a little text at the top where it say, "there can pop a few unwanted pictures through the filter" instead of filtering whole sites for nothing.

Also watch out, about contacting google, it could give you troubles, maybe they find some with is totaly natural on you site, navigation, layout or what ever and you get a filter.

The safe search is updated every 3-4 month.

markymarkj, I had the problem in 2001 and I think G's procedures have changed since then.
