What is the web page title limit (in characters)?

Including me different people have different openions like 60, 65, 70 or 90 characters and some people says its unlimited.

In Google serps its doesn't looks fixed, they shows between 60 to 70 characters for the websites that has long title.

Previously IE shows only starting 60 characters of title which is now increased to 90 characters while FireFox shows up to 150 characters.

This is what I observed, please share your thoughts.

This thread touches on title basics, including length....

I tend to go for the roughly 63 characters max that Google displays, though I'll sometimes go to 70 if what's at the end isn't vital to display.

Titles are an opportunity to emphasize and focus what your page is about, both for the engines and for the visitor... and too long a title will dissipate that focus.
