I'm seeing local business results now not at the top of serps but more in the "video" slots about 3 places down. Thank you Google.

I see the same. I wonder if this is now the standard, and not just a test. I would like that, both as a user and a marketer.

Yes it's definitely good for me. Pages I've had at no 1 for years suddenly at number 4 because of local biz ads - frustrating.
Perhaps the universal results are actually going to be that and that's where Google'll put all "inserted content" and give back the top positions to proactive webmasters.
