Use same Google CSE on multiple sites?

The user agreement seems to say that the CSE search box could only be placed on a site controlled by the creator the CSE. Is it ok to allow anyone to add the CSE search box code to their site as long as the result is displayed on mine?

All I know is what Google puts online -- but from what I read below it seems to me that you could do this with a "Linked CSE" but possibly not with a "Google Stored CSE".

In a Linked CSE the specification of the search engine is hosted on your website. In a Google Stored CSE the specification is stored at Google... Note that this search box could be on the same site as the CSE specification file, on multiple pages on that site or even on a different site.

Same thing here and Google isn't to keen to answer mails sent to them. I've seen several CSE sites that post their search box code for others to put on their site. But this doesn't mean it's legal, for all I know Google could just pull the plug on your Google CSE one day if they find out. There is one thing though that speaks for that it's okey to put the search box on other sites. I mean what stops someone from taking the code from my site and put the search box on their site? There is nothing I could do about that and it would just be stupid if Google would ban you for something like that.

You can place the CSE on any web page.

If you are using the Google Search API in conjunction with your CSE, then you must have a license 'key' for each site it is placed on.
