I've just changed my site over to a new server.. had teething problems for a couple of days but been very careful to not make any changes at all to important pages. Design is same on important pages, text is the same, meta's etc etc.
BUT... some pages have completely disappeared - if I type "http://www.example.com/pagename.htm" into the search it does not even come up with the page.
Would be grateful for any thoughts - is this something I can get in touch with Google about?
Thanks

Oh.... does anyone know what google usually does if a page is "down" when the googlebot comes round? Would it take the URL out of the index? And if so, would it be "put back" when googlebot comes round again and sees the page exactly the same as it was before?

It would kind of make sense in my mind for google to remove the URL from the index as it can't access the page... but then when it sees the page again in a few days time, how would it treat it?

hmmm...
