We updated some inward links way back in January and haven't seen any sign of the receiving sites recognising them, either in the backlinks or as a boost in the serps.
I understand that backlinks are updated for view about every 3 months, but how long is it taking to introduce these links as part of the registration and boost given by those keywords?

As I understand it, most links will never show up in the link:domain.com search, and many "types" links will never count as a credit towards a sites scoring.
