There seems to be all sorts of ranking/indexing penalties these days but PR0/bans seem an increasing rarity.

I could understand the rationale if they have, spurious lawsuits, confusion to the enemy etc. but they used to be a handy way of telling what sites/methodologies are best avoided.

Anyone come across a PR0/banned site in the last year?

Yep - one or two directories within the last 12 months.

Not banned, but PR0.

In the SERP update threads there have been some reports of sites showing no results on the site: operator on getting no Google traffic. But yes, it does seem to be quite minimal compared to the past.

I've got a few PR0 (on a couple I completely tore the navigation apart within the month or so before), but what's strange is that they still show as indexed and cached and only what would be normally be the lower PR pages (if it showed) are Supplemental.
