Google Certified Company?

I clicked on a link to receive a white paper (yeah, stupid, I know!) and I had to provide my email address. The white paper didn't say anything I didn't already know.

A couple of days later I received a follow-up email from an account person claiming they were a Google Certified Company. With all the time I've spent on WW over the years I *think* I would have heard this term if it's legitimate.

Is this bogus?

There is such a thing as a Google Certified Company, but it's for Adwords and not organic search

Become Qualified at the individual or company level to distinguish yourself as a skilled professional.

Honestly it means nothing. We used to work with an SEO company that had that status and they totally ripped us off. It means nothing.
