Statistics about user-behavior on google

Does anybody know where to find them?

Hi.

Some SEOs refer to
[gvu.gatech.edu...] to prove the fact that "90% of the users of search-engines only look at the first 3 pages". I got 2 with that problems:
- Where is this said on this page?
- The study is from 1998, which is an eternity in internet-business.

Does anybody know a newer study which tells about how many pages a user looks at in average or which position on google is clicked how many times in average? It does not have to be for a specific economic sector.

You've stumped me. I know there was a dependable study within the last year or so, but I just can't turn it up.

From the stats I work with, I can tell you that the percentage of clicks for various positions and pages can vary a whole lot, depending on the search term itself and also what competing urls are on those SERPs. Any study done over a large number of terms can only be a rough guide.

Here's a link to a report by Jupiter Research for iProspect from 2006.

[iprospect.com...]

Unfortunately, it's not actual stats, but a survey, but still fairly informative.

I have never seen a clicks from Google webmasters data beyond page 3 so I think it still holds true.
