Hi

I have changed my host from US to UK host and my SERPS have fallen. Any suggestion? I am on a shared hosting.

Yes, hosting change will affect position on SERPs.
If your are targeting for UK then optimise your site for UK.
I think after optimising your site with keywords+UK, it will rank better.

It may be the process of the change; give the dust time to settle.

Your UK search serps (eg google.co.uk) may actually improve, depending on your domain, but in general, there's no reason for UK-hosted site not to do well in international searches (eg google.com).

Hi. I have shifted to UK hosting since 5 weeks and my 4 sites are doing badly. My target is not UK but worldwide. I chose UK bcuz it was cheaper.

Could it be bcuz of bad hosting sharing partners?

My 1 site has lost Google index by domain name but features by IP (dedicated IP). Baffeles me!

Have you changed ANYTHING else - either shortly before or since the move?

I'm amazed you found UK hosting cheaper than US - my UK sites are US-hosted because rates were less than half what I found in the UK. Is it a good host? No problems you know of (eg down time?).

Hi. I have changed from Vortech US to Eukhost.com . The transition was smooth except for loss of SE traffic.

We have changed nothing in the site but lost 90% of the traffic/ business. We are not even listed inany Spam databse. Can you think of anything?

We changed hosting, in the same Nation.
The first one was bad ( several times it was down...)

The new one is excellent.

We changed only the hosting:

- no changes in the web pages
- no changes in the offline SEO
- no links campaign etc.

Ranking increased.

It's a small test, bat the conclusion is:

A good hosting can only help your ranking!
