Hi There,

Does anyone have any idea on why supplemental results would show before the original content that they have scapped that isn't supplemental.

"original content" isn't a big piece of the puzzle.

I'm seeing a lack of logic and consistency in results for pages on my site. It wasn't like this in the past. Now it seems almost random.

I see Google still values words in the title of a page, but seems to ignore them when ordering the site-wide SERPs.

We went through this "supplemental first" thing sometime about this time of the year, last year I believe.

Last week I wrote 1500 word widget review, it got picked up by Google news (Great). A couple of small scapper looking news blogs then piked up on it out of Google news.

Now these news scapper sites which are supplemental rank higher than the original content. It blows my mind how can unique content that is being linked to be placed behind rubbish scapper blogs.

> rubbish scapper blogs

It'd be nice if Google search results could have a little flag logo to flag offensive content will a single click that doesn't even move you from the page (like polls).

Many people find scrapers very offensive and Google still doesn't know how to set its algo to catch the schemers. Let us do it.

After being flagged x times, a site gets a manual review by Google staff. Many sites rely on human flagging to alert the site management of problems. Why should Google be any different?

It's easy to program it to be fast, efficient, and unobstructive. A more socially conscious interactive Google experience is a good thing.

Google makes out that no one else can effect the position of your site in the SERPS but surely these News scapper sites are effecting my sites position.

I am thinking about setting up a site to scrape a scrapper site to see if I can drop there position in the SERPS. Black hat must work else original conent would be still king.
