hi,

recently i started noting error on the Google Webmaster Tools that it was unable to reach my robots.txt files. also many times it shows error URL timeout.

I checked with my Host and it seems their firewall is blocking the google ips.

I asked them to check [iplists.com...]

They said, its impossible for them to unblock all the ips... they further recommended that i move to a Virtual Host from Shared Hosting.

I want to know, if there is anyway I can have them unlist google ips in the firewall... I think this is having a negative impact on our rankings.

please note, our listings do appear in google search..

Any advice appreciated..

Thanks

yes, the problem only started recently... Their support is good and I am happy with their service otherwise...

So, trying to figure out a way to get it fixed...

Any suggestions?

I have a sense that you and your webhost may be having muddied communications. If they really are blocking Google's IPs, then eventually you will not be happy with them at all. There would be something more than a bit insane in doing that.

I'd say your host either lets Google spider your site or you change your hosting.
