Site has nothing on it except 'under construction' image.

My site has just one image showing that it is under construction. Nothing else! Google claims it contains malware. There was no such warning earlier in the serps so it couldn't have been due to some previous owner of this domain. Besides, I've had it for a while now. Any suggestions? What should I do?

Are you viewing the source code when you say that? Be wary about a hidden iframe hack!
