What if you have a link to an important page in your nav. Are you going to avoid linking to it from your text on the page too, if it makes sense for the user and is in context? What about if that page is also a good reasource and highly related to the article one is reading? Maybe a link at the bottom of the article makes sense too.
I dunno the exact formula they use to discount multiple links, but honestly, if I started worrying about stuff like that, I'd never get anything done.
Here is a case where, when MC or Adam or whoever says just do what makes sense, they're honestly trying to spare people from thinking about stuff like this. They'd rather see you focus on building out the site and linking *naturally.* That sometimes means more than one link on a page to the same target page.
