How does G handle results on the regional Gs?

Do a search for a generic term on G.co.uk and you find most results are regional, next time you do it they're not.

Anyone worked out a rhyme or reason on how G handles results on the regional Gs?

Maybe Googles wisdom is that you were unhappy about the regional results if you search again. Could make sense. I often edit the .com .de .co.uk part as I am a hun in enemy territory ... ;)

As soon as they throw out German content on .co.uk for me I need to contact the people that sell me an extra tin foil hat...

Didn't mean an immediate re-search, more like next day/days :-)

It's the same on G.ie, not too long ago you'd never have seen an Irish site come up for a generic term on the "web search", now you do.
But again it's here today gone tomorrow, for one generic term but not another, just seems completely arbitrary.

We're used to having to add Irish/Ireland to search terms to get regional results, and I can't make out if G is aiming to make that practice redundant or what :-(

I dunno, all I know is that G keeps more pages indexed of my .de and ranks me first under pages from Germany while not on pages in German ... so .de has some considerable weight there it seems. The english websie hosted in germany is more let's say prolific in the German index too. So hosting seems to play into it. Anything else I got not the faintest clue.

G are really messing with localising results ATM. Last week I was looking for a Polish portal and could only find it on google.pl and not .com. Was a glitch but I see them messing mroe and more to get things local. Means better targetting and more revenues for them.

We have seen some weird stuff in the U.S., where we couldn't see our site even though the datacenter tools said we were there...and some people elsewhere in the country could.
