Does the "Did you mean:" ever go away in Google serps?

I have a site that is just about complete and the branding campaign is about to start.

When searching for our name, the name of the site w/o the "www" and ".com", we have the top organic results however above the organic results is the "Did you mean:" suggesting that the user may have misspelled their query.

Now the "Did you mean:" site has nothing to do with our business so it's not competition so I’m not worried about that, I really just don't like the way it looks.

My question is, does anyone think that the "Did you mean:" will go away as my site gains popularity or is it there forever?

I am curious about this too. I google'd for some names of companies that are just made up - where the name is not a otherwise a word. It seems like the more famous ones don't trigger the "did you mean..." while the newer/less well known ones did.

Someone probably has to enter your company name into their dictionary.

If the word/name appears in enough pages, "did you mean" is likely to vanish, but the tipping point may vary depending on what the similar word/phrase is.

For my site, it vanished for my company name when it appeared on around a thousand (external) pages.

I agree with kaled there is a "tipping point" (bloody good book as well of same title)

Well that sounds promising.

Thanks for the feedback!
