How do search engine treat links at the bottom of widgets/flash plugins for sites?
A lot of these examples can be seen on myspace.com profiles. Is it spam if somebody copy pastes a flash plugin and it has a link in it?

I see links like that contributing to very high TBPR for some sites. However, I'm not sure that Google is really weighting those links as highly as they used to. Hover, there's no douobt that providing a useful tool for a website owner and requiring a link back has been a long successful approach to building popularity. I don't know that it can really be called spam unless the link includes off-topic words.
