Will Google ever support truncated, wildcard word search?

not to mention regexp searches

This has been on my wishlist for a couple of years. As I don't see any developments in the direction of offering that feature, I'd like to ask your opinions about it.

Google can handle a couple of versions of English words (singular and plural versions of nouns, for example), but no words in my language. My language is an agglutinative one, anyway, so chances are pretty slim for Google to be able to find all the versions a word can occur.

Why not enabling folks to use $ * etc marks, let alone regular expressions in their searches? They might have the computing power to provide it.
