Hi,

I have a website in another language which I have made successfull through the awesome support/advice of the people on this forum.

I feel like I am going to reach a certain cap if I stay focused in the current language that my site is on. (I am targeting a 80 million population country and my site content has a very specific niche.) My site provides an online tool for visitors, so pretty much all my visitors come from either search engines or bookmarks.

I really want to grow into a larger market but there is quite a bit of competition if I translate the site to English and try that market. So I was just wondering, if from anyones experience, whether to make use of my existing domain and create a new section in English so I don't have to start from scratch bulding links etc, or whether I should go with a new domain and start from scratch. My current site is about 1 year old and google loves it and has very good rankings.

Can we brainstorm a little bit about what the ups and downs of both methods are? Any suggestions on that?

Adding a section in another language need not be a problem - so long as you do it in such a way that yor visitors will not be confused.

So site navigation will be a big concern.

Remember also that many people preset Google to search in just one language; do tests to ensure that does not reduce the range of your new section.
