experiences with google crawling site errors

sitewide errors all sunday now pages are gone

I imagine this will fix itself when google fully recrawls the affected pages. But I am just curious as to how google will handle seeing sitewide errors one day then dropping ranking pages, since those pages were cached with errors.

Any comments on this?

One thing I have noted is that these long standing pages that have been in the index are now gone, no cache remnants now, no indexation. Should I be worried?
