Age of domain & adult innuendo

I'd welcome any advice on changing a domain name and the effect of age on the rankings between old and new. I've read several great posts and still want to get more feedback.

Old domain name carries an adult innuendo. It also has been alive and well since the late 90's, drawing traffic and a good handful of links.

Problem is there has been mail blocked and customer complaints because of our adult innuendo. Because of these issues, we are thinking of migrating to a new name, which has been alive all of 2 months.

What do we risk and how can we mitigate that risk when we move to the new domain? A 301 redirect is planned, DMOZ listings will be submitted for update, Google sitemap will be updated as will all adwords campaigns. Even backlinks will be reviewed and if lucky some changed.

What else can we do? I feel like we are doing this for all of the right reasons, I just don't want to get "boxed" out while the spiders figure out our new domain.

Thanks.

How about buying a domain with prior trust / pr /backlinks that's on-topic or close to your industry? You're obviously going to be starting over with a new domain, but the approach you are using sounds right in terms of the steps you are taking in preparation. Having said that, finding a domain for sale at the right price with prior trust is easier said than done (but worth a bit of canvassing / investigation depending on how much you have tied up in your online business / site).
