Sitemap says we are still ranking, we're not!

Hi Guys,

A few weeks ago we stopped ranking for our most important keywords and cannot find the index page at all.
The sitemap still has us in the top 10, we are still being crawled OK and the site has a PR5.

Can anyone help me please.

Others have reported something like this - it's very strange, but clearly the report you see in Google Webmaster Tools is suffering a split from reality. That data often seems not quite right in many ways.

The GWT report may be grabbing your position before some filter gets applied - does that seem like it to you?
