G News "search the web" - the "core" DB without regionality?

Looking at a generic term on all the various English language Google news sites the results are identical, would this be the core database results before they get skewed by regionality?

That's an interesting idea - it does send me to whatever the current default dc is for me, but regionality seems to be created as a layer on top of the specific dc.

I'm going to have to study this a bit more to get a better idea. Somehow I don't think it's going to be this simple, but who knows?

Another one bites the dust, using a US proxy all the regional news "web search" results mirror the US ones :-(
