Not showing the cached date.

For the last few days i have been noticing that the cached date of the home page is not showing in google.
cache:http://www.domainname.com, even this operators does not show any results..what may be the possible reasons...previously the home page used to get crawled after every 7days...Is there any possibility of google converting the home page into a supplemental result? The PR of the home page is 6.

emiley - Does the cache itself show up when you click the "Cached" link?

I saw the cache itself disappear briefly in MSN a few weeks ago for a page that had recently been updated, but it came back after a day or two. Can't say I've noticed the same thing in Google, but I've seen every other kind of glitch over the years, so there's no reason this couldn't happen too. It's a very, very large database, and it is likely occasionally to have display problems.
