Google wins courtcase vs ServersCheck involving Google Suggest

An article in the Belgian newspaper De Standaard today reports that the Belgian company ServersCheck tried to sue Google because their "Suggest" feature provided results pointing to pirated versions of their software when searching on their company's name. Several of their customers ended up with pirated copies after using Suggest.

Google won because the judge ruled that people performing such searches must be IT professionals and should therefore know the difference between legit and pirated wares.

Nevertheless Google decided to alter Suggest's result so that it no longer shows such results.
