Sudden Loss of Keyword Rank

Hi, just wanted to share my experience and also still wondering if that is what they call a "sand box effect". What I've learned is that new websites cannot have a decent keyword ranking because it is being filtered and on a probationary period until it age for some time( approx. 3-6 months ) before it can have a good ranking.

I have created a new blog site this January 2007 and after a month I saw it dominated a specific keyword ranking which is also the <domain name>.

But on the first week of this month (March 2007) it was totally gone along with the other long tailed keyword ranking. So the question is: if it's the google sandbox, why it was not filtered in the first place? Have someone sabotaged my site?

Hope someone could share also and give some advise regarding this matter.
