I'm sure some of you bleary eyed UK webmasters will have noticed the UK Google shuffle that seems to happen from about 3AM-8AM.

During the day the results seem fairly stable with a bit of minor shuffling - but at night a big change happens.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I normally see it as near future results in Google serps and as i see the results I've been aiming for in this data set I'm quite excited about it.

I know they are feeding in top performers to the top of the serps, probably to apply "top pages filters" for the sites that could possibly rank no1, filters they might not wast processor power on sites that have no chance? Obviously conjecture on my part.

Any thoughts? Anybody been watching it longer than me and has any observations to share?
