Situation:

domainname (index) page ranks perfect, but non of the internal pages ranks, sometimes i see my index page rank on page3 or 4 for a internal page keyword, but thats it.

I will say Im no newbie here, so it must be something unusual.

PR is on some internal pages 5
keyword density is from 3-7
title yes
meta descrition also inplace.
a single h1 txt
links ok.

How well did your internal pages rank before? If they ranked well it might be the phrase based filter.

Your internal pages will not usually rank for kw's unless they have enough backlinks. If all your backlinks are pointed to the index page or domain name itself then that is the page that will rank in the serps. Pr itself on internal pages is just bleed over from the index page.
Try this...pick an internal page and build a goodly number of backlinks for it. Watch it rise accordingly in the serps.

texasville - about links

a internal page has 15 nubers at the top each link to each other, like no.2 links to page 2, no.3 links to page 3 and visa versa and here is the killer in this situation I got another site, which is build up with the same script, also is about widgets, but another category, that site rules all keywords there is for searches in that category.

The only thing i can think could be the trouble is that I some tim, menas 2 years ago uploaded a lot of pages to the site, which I had on my computer and was ready to get published, that could have tricked a filter, BUT FOR 2 YEARS that can also not be.

did you check if the internal pages are at the end of search results for every search frase?

I just found out that some of my internal pages that were on the first page of google now are at the end of search results.

it must be connected with the new -950 penalty.

I checked today I saw a keyword which fits a internal page rank on page 86, its a PR5 page, with keyword in title, h1, links and body.

You have to know they have never ranked at anytime, frontpage began to rank perfect 6 month ago, but the whole site is 3 years.

Now im sure its a google thing/filter, I made a search for a few keywords with some of my internal pages are optimized for, they all are on the last page, before the "omitted results" comes at the end of the page, but what cause this, its has been so for years.

Time to start wading through

[webmasterworld.com...]
a discussion on the phrase based indexing including links to all the Google patents on this

this and earlier 950 threads

There is no easy answer but you will get an idea of what your problem might be.

hmm I saw today that I do rank on google.de ok only page 6, but anyway it ranks, els I always find the internal pages on the last or secound last page before omitted results, but why do I rank somewhat on google.de, im not sure if it has been that way always if it just came up.

the site is in a wery competive area.

zeus: i have the same problem. the index PR is 4 and sometimes 3
all other pages are 0/10. It has been almost 3 months now. I was told to wait at least 6 months since I have a few backlinks (mostly on forums)
let me know how it goes
and good luck

dailypress - I dont think we are in the same situation, your trouble is that your site is new and if it is in a very competive area it could take up to one year before your intenal pages ranks, also if you only have links from forums, thats also not the best.

I have a PR7 index page internal are from 1PR-PR5 and the site is 3-4 years old and the internal pages have NEVER ranked.
