Will google get confused?

Lets say you have a webpage on your main .com site with the webpage Title as "Vista <English keyword> - Newest Vista <English keyword>" and you target this webpage by using the anchor text "Vista <English keyword>".

Ok, now let's say you build a new german subdomain and the page content is in German but you find people are still searching for "Vista <English keyword>" in Germany under google.de.

Would google get confused if you used the same title tag for both the .com domain and your new de.mysite.com subdomain and if you sent similiar external anchor linking text to both pages. Or, does google see it as a seperate site and therefore, does not get confused and dilute the value of the pages.

Any thoughts are welcome. :)

Most think dupe titles tend to trigger a downgrade in google. Not a ban, or a burying of anything, but the titles and the kw's in the titles count for less. It certainly looks at titles across subdomains. Just make sure the content is unique. eg: don't run it through an auto translator - do it by hand.

Yeah, I was a little worried about that so I initially rewrote all the pages for each country. Glad I did now.
