Do the days of traffic increase reveal anything?

Trends in timing of Google traffic increases and falls

I've noticed something and i wonder if my observation means anything.

If traffic starts to rise on a Wednsesday , when Google is indexing more new pages into the SERP's, their results seem to stick.

If the traffic rises on a Saturday it tends to go for a short blast and fall, indicating to me that "trust" related filters kick in.

Has anyone observed something similar?

Yes I have seen the same peaks mid week on our site and it's been that way for over a couple of years now. Maybe it's that monday-tuesday people have to get more done at work and surf less and by mid week people are goofing off more at work. Wednesday-Thursday we see the highest rate of traffic especially during the day. Friday everyone is thinking of the weekend and finishing up projects and thinking about happy hour.

Being an ecommerce site we see slumps in traffic from the 1st-5th (everyone has rent due) 12-14th people are broke and don't generally get paid until the 15th .. then 27th-28th broke again. Then the cycle starts over again.

Just to clarify, I wasn't talking about site visitor demand.

I was describing how Google kicks in with sustainable results building from Weds ( PST ) or Thurs if you're down here in Australia. These results seem to hold.

If you kick in on another day, particularily the weekend, the results seem to collapse or drift shortly afterwards.

Sorry for not being clear.

Do you mean if you add new content on a wednesday and it is spidered that the results for that page tend to stick in the serps vs pages that are found on other days?

What I mean is, that when an increase in traffic commences on that day it tends to hold or increase.

I wasn't referring to any spidering activity.

How are you distinguishing whether the increased traffic is due to some Google factor as distinct from alterations in user behaviour?

All other search engine results are constant. ie they don't move.

Google is the only one that increases it's traffic, there fore it is not a consumer trend. Also this is observed across different websites with different content/language/geographic bases.
