Google dropped original index page

It has indexed a domain that redirects to the original index page instead?

Hi there,

We have a domain that redirects to our main website;

www.myexamplewebsite.com redirects to www.myexample.com.

We have now found that Google has indexed www.myexamplewebsite.com with the index page which is from www.myexample.com.

It has then dropped the www.myexample.com original index page completely?

So we now have in google www.myexamplewebsite.com with an index page, featuring in the results and now with a page rank of 1, and the original main website www.myexample.com in google with the rest of the site but with no index page whatsoever?

Trouble is that the index page was featuring fairly well in the results, and now it has completely disappeared?

Sounds like the redirect might be something besides a 301. Make sure the redirect url returns a 301 http status, not 302 or some other approach.
