I know this might be an old topic and has been discussed so many times, but pls accept this post. Everybody is answering the Supplemental results and all but i have seen one of my site having high quality 225 pages with all good content which is copyrighted to our company and not listed anywhere else. site was doing good on christmas time with high rankings over google. But now we are having pages gone in Supplemental results and going out of the indexed slowly slowly. now what to say to google, i have reported google about this but they r silence. 225 high quality pages were indexed and now only 35 with some of them still Supplemental results. is it the google monopoly to remove any site bcoz i have checked everything that site is very much fine.

i wud request to accept this so that these type of similar problem can be discussed.

thanks a lot

My first suspicion would be a change in how Google is scoring at least some of your backlinks.

Thanks for accepting the post.

I have checked links as well, although they are not very good in numbers only 20 counted by Google, but whatever r there, they are fine and from similar theme websites.
And sites were ranking good with the available link back.

Do you think the reason of the supplemental results and vanishing from Google is lack of quality links..? And if I get good 50 links for various sections or main domain, problem might be solved..?

Appreciate your support.

Thanks a lot

In your position I would think about things such as:

Are the vast majority of Incoming Links going to the homepage? If so, get some quality links to inner pages.

Is there a duplicate content due to CMS problem?

The pages may be all 'original content', but are a lot of them similar to each other?

Is the site relatively new? If so, maybe just wait it out.

Is there any suspicion of "associated links" not carrying the same weight as before?

Are the vast majority of Incoming Links going to the homepage? If so, get some quality links to inner pages. "I have links to home page as well as for the inner section index."

Is there a duplicate content due to CMS problem? "No CMS, static pages with original content"

The pages may be all 'original content', but are a lot of them similar to each other? "Bcoz site belongs to a particular sector exp. decoration so we have 200 pages for various type of decor divided by theme like christmas, birthday, and all"

Is the site relatively new? If so, maybe just wait it out. "8 month old site"

Is there any suspicion of "associated links" not carrying the same weight as before? "might be but does it mean page will not be indexed or will be removed from google.?"

your comments..

thanks a lot

This is right...I have pages in my deeper categories go in and out of supps for some time. I have worked at getting links to the inner pages and it definitely has helped stabilize the situation

but i did not get the point of vanishing the urls from indexing just bcoz of the less number of links when they were indexed properly and were ranking as well.

Even site was beating the huge competition with a single word search in google which is quite amazing for any website. it was competiting with wikipedia and encylopedia sometime for 1.5 month approx.

If site were not indexed then we can understand this problem but indexed and not going out of the site search even.

Do you have any outbound links? If so, have you checked them to see if some are now a "bad neighborhood"?
