Welcome to WebmasterWorld Guest from 184.108.40.206
I was browsing some Google results today.. and noticed a new definitive user interface...that places Googles "other" user links like "news", "maps", "groups", "froogle", "more"....etc .. right in the usability hotspot (according to Google's own eye tracking tests)...
The results page is split into 3 columns now...
Left column - global vertical nav for Google properties (noted above)
Middle Column - Top blue Sponsored and then organics
Right Column - Adwords (if people are bidding)
AND this is on top of the new localization search results..
With the relatively large Google map and then three top listings from the local area...and these three listings can end up being all from the same site (I have a specific example on this)..
Interesting changes...more exposure to Google channels...deeper revenue generations for Google...more opps for webmasters / ecommerce sites to be found... spread across different media...?
