Deleted Domains

We have found a domain that has been off air for 4 months, but has had a site up since 2002.

The domain has been suppended by Nominet and will be avaliable to buy in the next few weeks.

Its a .co.uk site with 50+ links still pointing to it including Google Directory.

We know that it will be difficult to try and buy it when it drops.

My question is has anyone had experience in setting up websites from dropped domains and will Google see it has a brand new site with no history or will it pick up its old trust from before it was dropped.

The new site will be in exactly the same market as the old site.
