How long before google shows the new wordtracker keyword tool?

Anyone willing to guess how many days it will take?

Hi,

Brett posts that wordtracker have released a new free keyword tool that shows 100 results [webmasterworld.com...]

Currently google shows the old URL for the query "wordtracker keyword tool" [google.com.au...]

Google does however have one reference to the subdomain of the tool (at least here in Australia) [google.com.au...]

Anyone want to guess how long it will take before the new tool shows up for "wordtracker keyword tool"?

My guess? 10 days Why? Just a guess :) ( I dunno how G works)

Cheers

Normally we do not allow specific search terms in the Google forum (see the Google Forum Charter [webmasterworld.com]) but I think we'll make this one exception. It might be fun to watch this evolve.

The basic answer is that it will depend on how fast backlinks show up, especially backlinks with the specific search terms used in the anchor text. But since Google doesn't give us anything even close to complete backlink data, link information should probably be monitored via Yahoo Site Explorer.

The main Wordtracker home page is unlikey to be replaced on the search "wordtracker keyword tool" since it has over 20,000 direct backlinks. But the current indented result seem ripe to be replaced -- with only 79 backlinks directly to the rather useless url. The new subdomain url already has 32 off-site backlinks indexed on Yahoo.

I'm curious about two things:

1. How will the fact that this is a subdomain play out?

2. Will there be some kind of "freshness" boost because this is a new url - and if so, for how long?

It might also be enlightening to monitor the news search and blog search results. Right now the backlinks are mostly blogs.

Wow,

1 day later I'm getting 98 results for a web search on the subdomain, with wordtracker's url in pole position. That was quick.

Even more surprising (to me at least) is that the subdomain is in third and fourth position for a search on "wordtracker keyword tool" (without the quotes.

Good heavens - that's 24 hours to get onto page 1.

Wish I could do this for my sites :)

Cheers

Google was faster then my prediction of 48 hours max. I saw the thread too late.
Google claims they implemented almost instant data refreshing and indexing, which means instant SERP's (well, almost).
