I'm working on a new site targetted at beginners. Thinking of a domain named "example101.com".

What are the problems (if any) I will face using numbers in the domain?

Should I avoid numbers altogether?

My main site is example2000.com, Of course I will never know what it could be if it was just example.com but I have never noticed the domain to be a problem.

Read somewhere on this forum that we should avoid numbers in domain names altogether because of problems arising where you have to be specific verbally, saying "example-one-zero-one.com" instead of "example-one-oh-one.com".

I wonder if anyone has experienced problems in terms of SEO, when it comes to numbers in the domain names.

I have a site example101.com that's got a PR 6 and gets a couple of thousand visitors a day, 60% of them from Google. I've not experienced any problems at all over the last year since it's launch.

I take it then that my fears are unfounded?
Perhaps it's a matter or branding or verbally relaying the URL. People hearing the URL "example101.com" might actually key in "example-one-O-one" instead of "example-one-zero-one"...

If that's the case, then thank my lucky google stars! I went ahead with my content all based on "example101.com" but have yet to register it.
