So hope its something like a multiplayer "goggles" as opposed to fidling with pixel bunnies while seeing adsense.

Seems like a cool idea. There is big money in MMORPGs, just look at "World Of Warcraft" and "Everquest". Even "Sims Online" makes a lot of money.

I think you can count on google to follow the money, and since they have the bucks already to kick this off in a major way, they could easily smoke the competition.

If I were the head of a MMORPG company I would be afraid... very afraid...

Apparently, in Google's virtual world, players compete by creating web sites, slap cyber ads on them to receive cyber money, then try to promote their sites by spending cyber money to place cyber ads on other players' sites. There is also a GM (Google Master) who periodically adds new factors into the "randomness" of regular play, just to keep things interesting.

Oh wait, that's the real-life version.
