Something seems to be contradictory

One of my sites is not doing well at all in google. I'm getting some traffic from MSN and Yahoo (<30 visitors/day).

I see something in the webmaster tools that is puzzling. The summary says "Googlebot last successfully accessed your home page on Oct 31, 2006."

However When I look at the crawl rate, I see "Number of pages crawled per day 37 12 1 "

The site is about 40 pages. I would think that if the average crawl is 12 pages/day, googlebot should hit the home page more often than once every 4 months.

I've included some details from webmaster tools below. My biggest question is why does google appear to not be visiting the home page when it appears that the googlbot is visiting the rest of the site?

Some other info

- Pages from your site are included in Google's index. See Index stats. [?]
- preferred domain of www.mysite.com was set on oct 6 2006 in webmaster tools
- Crawl errors shows 6 urls restricted by robots.txt. These are ad pages that are rotated in via a php scritpt. I use the same script/system on other sites that do well in google.
- I looked at webmaster tools/robots and I have one misspelling of disallow at the end of the file. I don't think that would mess things up.
- Highest pagerank is www.mysite.com
- query stats "not available'
- the site is about 2 years old and was, at one time, getting google traffic.

- Within the last month, I changed all of the travel affiliate links to rel=nofollow - The traffic problem has been going on for about 6 months (Might have been a result of affiliate links?)

site:www.mysite.com shows 32 results
site:www.mysite.com -inurl:www 22 results
site:www.mysite.com inurl:www 12 reults

I'd appreciate any thoughts.

thanks
