I thought I would put the page up (even though the content isnt ready - and wont be ready for 3 months) to give G. a chance to find it and chew it through the "sandbox" for new sites.
I put a couple of links (mixed and matched the anchor text on each link) on a couple of trusted sites i have access to, and within a week Google has indexed the page. I think there is about 50 words on the page inc title and meta description.
At the moment I have jumped into serps at number 1 through 10 on about ten target keyphrases. The target keyword is in my 2 phrase domain name (hyphenated).
There's only one link on the page, at the moment pointing to the "authority" site in the sector, which I have nothing to do with.
Opionion, please on any of the following:
1. Can I fully expect to disappear from these serps because of SB filters.
2. Which filters would you surmise could penalise? Lack of content? Lack of internal pages? Lack of navigation options?
3. What should I be careful of when fleshing this site out to avoid filters?
4. What is the latest thinking on the SB phenomenon?
I will report back if, when and how these filters affect the site over the coming weeks.
