My site in SERPS with date in grey

Pardon me if this has been asked before... I did a search for this question, but came up empty.

When my main page shows up in a Google query, there is a grey colored date of 10/6/06 next to the title. This is not the usual green date you sometimes see next to the URL. Any idea what this means? And for that matter, what does the green one mean?

Thanks,

DS

It's the last time you visited that site.

That can't be it... the date is October of last year. This is the only SERP I have ever seen with a date next to the title. This is not the usual green date you see next to the URL. Perhaps it is when a penalty was applied? The page has been cached recently, so its not a cache date. It looks like this...

MY METALLIC GREEN WIDGETS - 10/6/06
Purveyor of the finest metallic green widgets in the west!
www.example.com/ - 18k Cached - Similar Pages

This comes up in regular searches, as well as the site: operator.

This is becuase you are logged into your google account. If you log out of your account by clicking the link at the top right, and then go search again do you see the date? You shouldn't. That date shows you the first time you were logged into your account and visited that link.
