how to get out of supplemental results?

Some of my webpages were put in the supplemental result several months ago. These pages are either without unique description or they are duplicated (I named the files "www.abc.com/word1 word2.htm" at first, but then changed them to "www.abc.com/word1_word2.htm", so there are two files with identical content within the same site).

I have made changes more than two months ago, adding unique description to each page and deleting the old files "word1 word2.htm) but still these webpages are still in supplemental result in the recent update. It seems like once the webpages are in supplemental result, Google will stop visiting them (the cache file shows last visit was May 06). So is there any way to add them back to the main index at all? or I should just wait.

Also, is there any reason to add a sitemap to my Google account if all pages are already indexed (but some are supplemental due to the above problems)?

Seems to me that one or the other pages will get dinged with a duplicate content penaly... or filter

You have to wait for couple of more updates. It's Google monopoly. What you have done is absolutly correct. You can just wait and watch the results.

Hey Rufus, make sure on that those pages are unique in titles, meta descriptions and meta keywords. Get some links to those pages, and just sit back and wait.
