Webmaster Tools - how accurate are the query stats?

How accurate are the query stats within the sitemap tool? We have several key phrases that we used to rank for listed in the 'Top search query clicks'. One such key phrase says that we're listed at position 13. However, since September 30th, I've never found us in the top 50 for this key phrase. It's really odd because all of the other keyword ranks are correct. Any ideas?

I use the tool on about 40 sites and I've usually found it to be accurate to within 5-10 places. YOu can toggle it to show results on different country indexes - perhaps it's showing you results fomr a different index (that you rank in) to the one you yourself use (via toolbar or similar) that you don;t rank in.
