I have been facing rather noticing a problem with google offlate. The problem is that different google servers (Local, international, wap, etc) provide a different "number of indexed page" result. This is with reference to the command "site:mydomain.com"
Following are the results of the command
Google.com >>
Today -- Results 1 - 10 of about 20100.
Yesterday -- Results 1 - 10 of about 85,200.
Google Local >>
Today -- Results 1 - 10 of about 20100.
Yesterday -- Results 1 - 10 of about 85,200.
Google.com/xhtml
Today -- Results 1 - 10 of about 97,100.
Yesterday -- Results 1 - 10 of about 89,000.
This has been the case since last few days as the indexed page results jump to extreme and then drops to extreme. What can be the reason for the same?
On the other hand google has been extensively busy crawling pages on the site, the crawl stats is very high.
we're discussing it all in this thread
