Hello,

Please excuse me if the same question has already been posted and answered.

Sometime after January 17, 2007, I will request my current web hosting provider to upgrade my web hosting plan. Only my plan will be changed, and my domain name and every URL of the pages on my web site will remain the same.

According to my current web hosting provider's explanation, however,
1. "Because the plan upgrade is in the form of providing a new server," I will have to upload each of the files and re-create my e-mail accounts and complete the settings after the new server is in place.
2. "Problems and inconveniences will occur during the period from the end of server switching through until the completion of the settings necessary in the new plan" by me.
3. "The system specification won't allow the utilization of multiple web hosting plans by the same domain," and I cannot leave the old server up in order to avoid the problems and inconveniences.
Put simply, all the pages of my web site and e-mail accounts will disappear from the Internet for hours.

Will I have to re-verify ownership of my site and re-submit my Sitemap to Google after I have finished uploading HTML files and all other files, including my current "sitemap.xml" file, onto the new server and configuring the settings in the new web hosting plan, and my web site has been put on the Internet again?

Thank you very much.

...will disappear from the Internet for hours

A few hours should not cause problems since the old urls will still resolve properly after the move. Make sure you upload your authentication file for Google as well as your xml sitemap. Then, even if a new IP address does trigger the need to re-verify, all should be smooth.
