Will IBLs Going Supplemental cause loss of PR

Will a site's ranking drop if the pages that link to it go supplemental

I can't find any other refference to this particular issue. Is it safe to assume that many sites are suffering with a loss in their ranking as the exteranl pages that link to them are going supplemental. When I ran a search on my domain name (less the www and tld) I noticed that a lot of the directory sites that link to me have gone supplemental.

I don't think so -- but with the current and rapid changes to how Google is using the supplemental index, it's hard to say anything 100% definitively.

Essentially, if the urls that link to you still have the same PR, then they should still be transferring or voting the same PR to you with their links. The issue for you would be if those urls lost PR, not if they picked up a Supplemental Results tag.

Maybe I should have phrased that a little different. It's not really the (TB)PR that I am thinking may be lost but more the effect on SERPS from having IBLs from supplemental pages instead of pages in the main index.

Everyone knows the TBPR is just for show (don't they?) but I would be interested if anyone has noticed that a drop in the SERPS is related to IBL supplemantal status

I believe tedster refers to the algo PR. Also, according to Matt's post today:
Having urls in the supplemental results doesn’t mean that you have some sort of penalty at all

*Will IBLs Going Supplemental cause loss of PR?*

A reasonable assumption IMO, according to that mentioned post going supplemental is mostly due to lack/loss of PR...

"the main determinant of whether a url is in our main web index or in the supplemental index is PageRank."

New links added to you on pages that are supplemental may take longer to be discovered because the frequency of crawl is much lower than the normal index pages. But I don't think there's a penalty at all, just not a valued page deserving of being crawled regularly, in google's opinion.
