Listing gone URL only

HI,

Our most important page in the Google index (a subfolder index page) which ranks well for very competitive terms and which Google shows 3500 backlinks has suddenly gone missing for all keyword searches other than the most competitive keyword where it remains in the same position but is listed as URL only with no further info or snippet or cache. It is not now listed in a site search but retains a PR6 on the Google toolbar. It cannot be found by seaching for the URL.

All other pages remain properly indexed and rank very well including our homepage.

Most odd, any similar experiences or ideas our there....

Just noticed several other prominent sites in our niche gone URL only today.....

Whats happening?

I heard several such reports in the past few days and I saw one example for a site I work with. Google seems to be shuffling data around right now at an intensified pace. With a system as immense as theirs is, sometimes the ability for one part of the system to tap into the information stored in another part isn't there for a while.

In the past things like this were temporary - I expect the same with the current strangeness.

The same happened with me.

As per the posts given by my friends in webmasterworld it should get fixed in a day or 2

The page dissapeared altogether yesterday and is still gone......

Hope this is a temporary blip rather than a new penalty of some kind.

Google is re-indexing everything. I would expect to see a lot more anomalies in weeks to come.

Yea, I've been checking on various domains and I'm seeing all kinds of weird things - pages and sites dropping out, coming back, other pages and sites dropping out, etc. Everything seems to change every time I look at it.

can anyone confirm that, will be we getting those url's back what we are loosing or they are just gone and needs changes?.
